I started this because I needed a persistent Mac for an iOS CI pipeline and couldn't find a credible UK option. MacStadium, MacInCloud, AWS EC2 Mac — all capable services, all US-based. That means US pricing, transatlantic latency, and your data sitting under a foreign jurisdiction. There was a clear gap for a properly engineered UK alternative.

I'm a CTO based in the Cotswolds, and I'd been running Macs as production infrastructure for years: CI/CD pipelines, local LLM inference, AI agents like OpenClaw. Apple silicon is exceptionally well-suited to this work: fast, efficient, and stable under sustained load. The hardware was proven and the opportunity was obvious. Halfpenny Mac is what that turned into. We're scaling quickly to keep up.
